A Note from Andrew Tewell

Almost four years ago, God called our family to step out by faith and plant the Shore Light Baptist Church in Daphne, Alabama. Since then, we’ve seen His faithfulness as our church has grown to 140–150 each Sunday—and we’re now out of room.
God initially provided a unique meeting space in a Messianic Jewish synagogue. While that partnership has been a blessing, it’s clear the time has come to pursue a permanent home. We’ve faced closed doors—land that fell through, leases that didn’t work, and unsuitable properties—but now God has provided an exciting opportunity.
We’re in the process of purchasing a 10,000 sq. ft. building with 81 parking spaces for $1 million. It will house a 250-seat auditorium and all the classroom space we need. Renovations will cost an estimated $250,000, bringing the total to $1.25 million—less than 40% of the cost of new construction. 

God is already providing in amazing ways. We’ve secured a $750,000 loan and raised $315,000—remarkable for a church just three years old. A local church even donated 425 nearly-new chairs. We still need to raise $185,000 to complete the project and remain good stewards.

Over the next 90 days, we’re challenging our people to continue to give sacrificially. But this vision is bigger than us. That’s why we’re asking other churches and ministry partners to prayerfully consider joining us in what we believe is a God-given opportunity.
